Study guides

The Claude certification study guides.

Free, unofficial guides for Anthropic's three Claude certifications — one page per exam domain, every subdomain covered, every fact anchored to the official documentation. Plus the Claude Code course, from zero to daily driver, and field guides on the questions our clients ask next — starting with whether an AI agent can buy from you.

Each guide follows the official exam guide domain by domain, states facts as Anthropic’s documentation states them, and marks the traps — the plausible-sounding answers the exams trade in. Coverage was cross-checked lesson by lesson against CertSafari’s independent syllabus. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic; the studying is ours, the certifications are theirs. Vocabulary you meet along the way lives in the glossary; the arguments behind it live on the blog.

If you are new to Claude, take them in order: the developer guide first, then the two architect guides — the professional exam assumes the foundations. Short on time and choosing one? The developer guide is the most complete tour of the platform; the architect guide closest to your daily work is the one you will finish.

The developer certification. Eight domains covering the Claude API end to end — the agent loop, conversation state, model tiers and prices, context management, tool design and MCP. Every subdomain, the numbers in one place, the traps marked.

The architect certification. Five domains — agentic architecture, tool design, Claude Code configuration, prompting and structured output, context engineering — taught at the level the scenarios are written at.

The professional architect certification. Seven domains from solution design to stakeholder lifecycle — model selection, integration and RAG, evaluation, governance. The decision-level view the foundations exams assume.
